When the storms come to the desert, it takes on these amazing pastel hues of pinks and purples, blues and greens. The colors in this necklace make me think of the desert after a storm.
Lushious raw pink Peruvian Opal discs are separated by tiny, stormy grey/blue nuggets of raw sapphire. The raw sapphire nuggets continue along the neck for comfort. I’ve added a handpainted, rustic iron southwestern style cross. The juxtaposition of the rustic iron with the soft pastel stones is indicative to me of the Sonoran desert- a place of harsh conditions paired with unbelievable beauty. The necklace is finished with a simple gold lobster clasp.
This necklace measures approximately 20 inches long without the pendant. The pendant measures around 2 1/2 inches wide by 2 inches high.
